Betty Brumberg

Betty Brumberg
Betty is a native of Connecticut who currently resides in Hamden. Now retired, she spent over 35 years in the Insurance industry. She has a long history of volunteering – including Literacy Volunteers where she worked as a Program Manager for 4 years before retiring in August 2014.

Betty’s interest in Lyme Disease is personal. For years she struggled with knee pain which was attributed to (and treated for) arthritis. It was her brother-in-law, an Osteopathic Doctor in New Jersey, who suggested she be tested for Lyme Disease. This diagnosis was confirmed by her Naturopathic Doctor in CT.

Betty hopes she can help bring awareness of the personal challenges of this Disease to others in CT.
